New Patterns for the Lana Blouse

Just in time for spring, I'm very excited to be releasing the Lana blouse in new fabrics. I originally created the Lana blouse in spring last year in 3 irresistable pastel shades, as an easy-to-wear, classic tie-up blouse which I found myself wearing religiously right through from spring, summer and well into the autumn.

I wanted to give this classic design a bold update for 2020 with, what else, but some very stylish prints. Many of you have requested printed versions of my designs over the years, so here they are! Read on to find out more about these latest additions.

I always find shopping for fabric prints for Stylecamp a real challenge as it has to be something that fits in with my simple, timeless and elegant aesthetic, all the while being the right quality, weight, colour and price. It's more tricky than you think!

That's why I'm delighted to be stocking this classic gingham fabric. Gingham appeals to me for it's timeless simplicity and nostalgic feeling. It's a design that's totally wearable and never too far away from fashion, ensuring complete longevity in your wardrobe.

What's more, this particular fabric is 100% organic cotton, which is kinder to the environment by using less water and pesticides. I'm also pleased to say that this fabric comes with GOTS certification, which is the gold standard of the textile industry and means that the whole production process, from the farming of the cotton crop, to the spinning, dyeing and weaving of the fabric, meets the highest standards of ethical and responsible production.

It has a really nice hand-feel with a good structure which holds the shape of the blouse really well. It's a slightly off-white, natural looking cotton which contrasts beautifully with the black gingham checks, perfectly complementing the finishing touch of the natural coconut shell buttons.

In contrast, here's another timeless favourite to add to the collection, the spot print. It's a fabric I'm currently using for one of the Marlene jumpsuits and I think it works equally well as a Lana blouse.

This print is no regular spot design; it has subtle irregularities to the shape and delicate placement of the spots, making it more interesting than your average spot pattern.

The fabric itself is a super-soft viscose which has a lovely airy and floaty quality to it, allowing it to elegantly drape over the body. Overall, a very eye-catching design!

Teamed with denim or with bright colours, both these blouses are perfect for a relaxed casual look whether tucked into skirts, shorts or trousers to create a multitude of versatile looks. Wear the blouse tied up at the front or hung loose as a longer length depending on how you want to wear it. Whichever colour or print you choose, how will you style yours?
